Khor Virap Monastery

Located just 40 km from Yerevan, Khor Virap offers one of the closest and most striking views of Mount Ararat. This sacred site marks the place where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years before converting King Trdat III and Armenia to Christianity. We’ll explore the chapel, descend into the historic dungeon, and take in the serene views of the Ararat Valley.

Noravank Monastery

Nestled among the towering red rock cliffs of a narrow canyon, Noravank Monastery is both an architectural and natural wonder. The 13th-century complex is famous for its two-story Surb Astvatsatsin Church, unique carvings, and masterful cross-stones. We’ll stroll through the monastery grounds and learn the fascinating history of this medieval spiritual center.

Areni-1 Cave

Step into history at the Areni-1 Cave, where archaeologists discovered the world’s oldest known winemaking facility, over 6,000 years old. This incredible site reveals ancient clay vats, fermentation tools, and grape seeds, painting a vivid picture of Armenia’s early civilization and its enduring relationship with wine.
